About Me

My goal is to organize the recipes I use so I can share them with family and friends as well as easily find my family's favorites. I try to use mostly natural ingredients to make homemade meals that are easy and delicious.

Easy "Homemade" Pizza WW

1 tube of Pilsbury Classic Pizza dough
1 1/2 cups of store-bought pizza sauce
2 cups of shredded, part-skim Mozzarella cheese
4 tbs grated Parmesan cheese
Sprinkle dried basil and oregano to taste

Roll out the dough and follow the instructions to pre-bake. Add the toppings and cook the remainder. We make this about once a week and the boys love it.

WW Plus Points: 8 points (for 1/6th of the pizza)

Shortcut BBQ Chicken Braid WW

1 tube of Pilsbury french bread dough
1-2 cups of 2% sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
1 tub of Lloyd's Barbeque Company Original BBQ Sauce with Seasoned Shredded Chicken (you can find this where you look for store-bought potato salad)

Roll out the dough in a long rectangle. Pile on the BBQ and top with cheese. Cut 1-2 in. strips up each side of the dough and braid across the top of the filling. Pinch the ends shut. Top with a light sprinkle of cheese if desired.

Cook at 350 for 12-15 min. or until golden brown.

Orange Chicken

Orange Chicken

Tanner really liked this meal. Paul and I had to add some soy sauce because it was a little too sweet for us. I did not have an orange so I left out the zest and I used orange juice from the carton (not fresh). We did everything else according to the recipe. It's very similar to Orange Chicken you'd get at a Chinese restaurant, but way healthier since it isn't fried and you can control the sugar/salt content.
